…So, I sit reading words of a poet
ฉันนั่งอยู่อย่างนี้ อ่านกวี-คำประพันธ์
Wisdom of bygone age immortal work of a mortal sage
อ่านปราชญ์แต่ปางบรรพ์ ปราชญ์ชีพสั้นงานยืนยง
The garden’s saplings burst out in verdant stems
ต้นอ่อนในอุทยาน แตกกิ่งก้านบานระหง
Breeze-borne leaves touch water-rings, and rock like boats
ลมอ่อนใบร่อนลง แตะวงน้ำโล้สำเภา
Mind branches, heart roots delve to spread cool balmy shades
สมองแตกกิ่งใบ ใจหยั่งรากฝากร่มเงา
Our hearts connect - mine and his - the lyrical scribe’s
สื่อใจสู่ใจเรา จากใจเขาผู้ขีดเขียน
Tiring, I glanced skyward. Changed, wired, the wide world!
เมื่อยล้ามองฟ้าบ้าง โยงระยางโลกกว้างเปลี่ยน
Electricity lines wind, cross telephone television cords…
สายไฟทอดสายเวียน โทรศัพท์โทรทัศน์
Cables, antennae, taut, strung satellite dishes churn annoyance
เคเบิ้ลทีวีขึง ดาวเทียมตรึงชวนขึ้งขัด
I gazed, eye-filled, at the celled, bound, lined, wired sky scape
มองฟ้าเต็มตาชัด ฟ้าถูดจัดสายรัดร้อย
Electronic spider weave webs that grow by stages to shrink the world
แมงมุมอิเล็กตรอน ไม่หยุดหย่อนใยทยอย
A moment’s unawareness could leaves me out-timed by Time
โยงใยให้เล็กจ้อย ฉันเผลอหน่อยพลอยตกยุค
Earth’s magnitude minimized by unceasing, incessant, information flow
โลกใหญ่เร่งถ่ายย่อ ข้อมูลไหลอยู่ไม่สุข
Time seems filled with aggression imprisoned by information technology
เวลาเหมือนว่ารุก อยู่ในคุกแห่งข้อมูล
